This strategic role will create and evolve the enterprise architecture framework, enabling alignment between business strategy and IT execution. They will define the “current state” of systems and technology, shape the future-state architecture, and build the governance and tools required to rationalize and modernize EG America’s technology landscape.The role is highly collaborative, working closely with all IT sub-functions, including Technology, Data & AI, Information Security and Innovation, as well as key business leaders. It is pivotal in ensuring EG America’s technology investments are scalable, interoperable, secure, and aligned with business outcomes.ResponsibilitiesEstablish the enterprise architecture function from the ground up, including framework, operating model, and roadmap.Lead the assessment of current state architecture across applications, infrastructure, data, and integration layers.Define and evolve future-state architecture, enabling modernization, interoperability, and scalability.Develop and maintain reference models and blueprints including application, data, infrastructure, and security architecture.Launch and chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to govern architectural standards, decision-making, and exceptions.Collaborate with leads across IT to guide solution design and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.Drive application portfolio management and rationalization, identifying opportunities to reduce complexity and cost.Provide architectural oversight on major initiatives such as cloud migration, ERP modernization, and platform unification.Evaluate and introduce relevant architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and tools (e.g., APM tools like LeanIX or Bizzdesign).Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and resilience in EG America’s architecture strategy.Develop training and awareness programs to foster architectural thinking across IT and business.Key ResultsA documented baseline of current-state architecture and a clearly defined future-state aligned with business goals.Established enterprise-wide Architecture Review Board and governance model.A simplified, rationalized application landscape delivering improved performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.Strong architectural alignment across data, ERP, supply chain, e-commerce, and infrastructure modernization efforts.Adoption of a consistent architecture methodology and toolset, enhancing decision-making and execution discipline.Working Relationships: Will work closely with all IT subfunctions and key business stakeholders across all SSC departmentsRequirementsMinimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldPreferred Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldMinimum Experience10+ years of experience in enterprise, solution, or domain architecture within complex IT environments.Proven track record of standing up or significantly maturing an enterprise architecture capability.Deep understanding of architecture domains: application, data, infrastructure, and integration.Strong grasp of architectural governance practices and frameworks (TOGAF preferred, certification a plus).Experience leading application portfolio assessments and rationalization efforts.Ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams and influence solution decisions.Licenses/CertificationsSoft Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including with senior business leaders.Other RequirementsTravel: N/AHours & Conditions: Monday – Friday 8 hour day in office settingPhysical Requirements: Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Additional InfoAt EG America, it’s important that our employees reflect the world we live in and the communities we serve.
