As we prepare for our next growth phase, we’re seeking an experienced data strategist to audit our current systems and guide an architecture rebuild or optimization plan.ResponsibilitiesConduct a comprehensive audit of our data architecture, including data sources, pipelines, storage systems, and governance practicesCreate a prioritized improvement roadmap to address gaps, improve scalability, and prepare systems for analytics growthDeliver clear documentation and architecture diagramsValidate data lineage, quality, security, and complianceRecommend enhancements to our data platform environment, including warehouse design, cloud migration, and integration optionsGuide and support the execution of the improvement plan, working with internal teams or external vendors as neededIdentify and recommend key data engineering solutions, frameworks, and workflows to improve scalability, automation, and data quality across systemsCollaborate with internal technical and data teams to align deliverables with business needsQualifications7+ years as a Data Architect, consultant, or senior technical advisor, preferably in media, events, B2B marketing, or membership-based environmentsProven experience auditing legacy data infrastructures and designing scalable, future-ready solutionsExpertise in SQL, Python or R, ETL tooling, and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, Redshift, or DatabricksStrong understanding of data governance, security controls, and privacy complianceFamiliarity with modern data engineering practices including pipeline orchestration, data validation frameworks, and scalable architecture designExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate findings into an actionable roadmap for leadershipSelf-driven and detail-oriented with the ability to manage a scoped project independentlyDuration: Approximately 2-3 monthsCompensation: Competitive hourly consulting rate based on experience with range: $125 - $170 / per hourWhy This Role MattersThis is a high-impact, short-term consulting engagement that will shape the foundation of our long-term data strategy.
