This is a project-based, full-time position, expected to last no more than two years.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEvaluates documents against established retention schedules to determine whether they are official business recordsEvaluates documents for redundancy and flags them for dispositionPrepares obsolete documents for destruction in accordance with retention policy and established proceduresReclassifies and redescribes business records as needed to ensure their proper management and future accessibilityDocuments decision-making processes to ensure consistencyWorks independently while regularly communicating with record owners about progress and any roadblocksCollaborates with colleagues to improve workflows as neededSTAFF MANAGEMENT AND JOB CONTACTSReporting RelationshipsSupervisor: Manager of Records Management & Special CollectionsSupervises: N/ARegular Contacts:MBEL employees, particularly in Records Management, Special Collections, and Research; system administrators in the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
