Job Title: Business Systems Analyst The Business Systems Analyst provides full financial statement and IT audit response support to the Department of the Navy (DON). Specifically: Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage incoming Prepared by Client (PBC) requests, assign PBC owners, utilize client audit response system, track PBC status daily, update the master PBC tracker and database, and provide metrics to leadership. Perform quality control on submitted PBC items to confirm completeness and accuracy, ensuring the audit request's intent is reflected in the documentation. Coordinate meetings and site visits between process owners and auditors. Manage communications with internal and external entities, including PBC requests to Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Examine documentation and transactions for audit samples; review and validate data to identify inconsistencies. Support client initiatives to enhance IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Application Controls testing using a risk-based approach. Request, review, and analyze artifacts such as security plans, SOPs, system screenshots, and configuration settings to assist in IT controls testing. Collaborate with the team to communicate, develop, and demonstrate best practices for audits. Prepare management reports summarizing audit or project results, including recommendations for improvements. Support other audit efforts as needed. Travel as required for client engagements. Education & Experience Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited institution. System Experience: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Excel). Experience: Active Secret DoD Security Clearance required. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant, progressive experience; an additional two (2) years may substitute for education. Experience supporting systems consolidation/migration, modernization, ERP implementation, IT system audit readiness, FISCAM, and RMF for federal agencies or large organizations (>1,000 employees). Familiarity with SAP, Oracle Federal Financials, or similar systems. Significant experience in internal and financial statement audits, financial management, and supporting financial statement preparation at a large federal agency. Experience facilitating meetings and presentations with senior leadership. Familiarity with U.S. government financial systems and audit response tools.
