Join us to shape transformative technologies and a dynamic, innovative company culture.About YouExpert in Computational Protein Design: You have a proven ability to use computational tools and biochemical or structural biology knowledge to design proteins for functional requirements and synthetic biology applications.Strong Data Scientist: You have experience leading data-driven projects to uncover biological insights.Accomplished Scientist: You hold a PhD (or equivalent experience) in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, biochemistry, structural biology, physics, biophysics, or a related field, with research experience in protein biochemistry and computational methods.Collaborative Partner: You have worked closely with experimental teams to achieve protein design objectives.Project Owner: You have a track record of delivering impactful research or commercial projects, evidenced by publications, patents, or other significant contributions.Connector: You thrive on bringing people together and are skilled at communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.Mission-Driven Innovator: You are motivated by solving real-world problems and achieving meaningful impact.Adaptable Problem Solver: You excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments and are skilled at optimising processes to improve efficiency and scalability.What Sets You Apart (Preferred but not required):Experience applying generative AI or machine learning in synthetic biology.Familiarity with engineering gene-editing tools (e.g., nucleases, integrases).Expertise in homology-based bioinformatics and large database analysis.Previous experience scaling a biotech startup.Key ResponsibilitiesProtein Design with Generative AIGenerate and optimise designs with proprietary AI models for experimental validation.Collaborate with lab teams to refine processes and strategies.Use experimental results to enhance model performance and improve success rates.Partner with machine learning teams to fine-tune and optimise AI models.Collaboration and CommunicationBridge the gap between AI development and experimental validation teams.Foster innovation and alignment across teams.Tool and Workflow EnhancementProvide feedback on AI models and software tools.Improve data management systems and workflows.Scientific Excellence and GrowthConduct publication-grade research and stay updated on synthetic biology developments.Share knowledge through internal and external presentations.Attend and contribute to relevant conferences.What We OfferWe provide a competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, pension/401(k) contributions, generous leave policies, travel opportunities, and more.
