Candidate will design, develop, and maintain software for naval applications, support network architecture, and assess System of Systems (SoS) designs for cybersecurity and UxV mission requirements. Responsibilities include optimizing applications, identifying software vulnerabilities, and recommending mitigation solutions.What will you do?Design, develop and maintain computer software for naval applications.Participate in design and code reviews, fix errors and bugs, optimize applications and designing and implementing algorithms.Provide network architecture engineering support by reviewing, analyzing, model based system engineering, and developing engineering documents for a network system, information system, and for system assessment and authorization (A&A).Assess and develop a proposed System of Systems (SoS) Architecture Framework IAW guidelines for the ashore or afloat platform baseline.Review and assess SoS design, identify software vulnerability, and risk management to ensure cybersecurity and UxV Mission requirements are satisfied.Deficiencies and issues shall be identified, and Contractor shall recommend mitigation solutionsDo you have what it takes?Required Skills1 year - 4 years of relevant experienceMust have active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain onePreferred SkillsBachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)Professional Engineer LicenseExperience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic professional or academic setting.Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS)Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certificationPay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $60,000- $82,799 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.This position is contingent upon contract awardPay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $60,000- $82,799 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location.
