Sequel’s flagship product, the twiist Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System, launched in July 2025 for people with type 1 diabetes, providing them with personalized diabetes management.Job OverviewThe Senior IT Operations & Security Engineer plays a critical role in executing and supporting tactical IT initiatives that improve organizational productivity, reliability, and scalability. This individual contributor role focuses on operational enablement, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration.The engineer will lead and support projects across the Microsoft ecosystem, manage helpdesk escalations, and take ownership of platforms like SharePoint and Microsoft 365. This role also absorbs non-strategic projects to protect the bandwidth of IT operations, security, and compliance teams, allowing them to stay focused on their core responsibilities and priorities. While security tooling and governance are part of the scope, the emphasis is on operational maturity, tooling optimization, and business enablement.Job Responsibilities and Essential DutiesLead and support tactical IT projects leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Copilot, Loop, Entra, Teams, Planner, and Power Platform.Manage SharePoint platform, including governance, optimization, and executing existing projects with strategic partners.Develop and maintain project plans, stakeholder meeting schedules, and SLT communications for SharePoint and other operational initiatives.Collaborate with the IT Director to identify operational gaps, business needs, and tooling opportunities across cross-functional teams.Provide Level 2–3 support for escalated tickets and ensure timely resolution within the helpdesk system.Monitor and manage ticket SLAs, ensuring support processes are followed and service levels are met.Coordinate efforts to ensure project follow-through and proper documentation.Offer technical guidance and support automation and scripting using Power Automate and PowerShell.Assist in implementing and configuring Purview and Priva for data governance, including retention policies, DLP, and insider risk management.Partner with vulnerability management providers to implement continuous scanning and remediation workflows.Absorb and execute non-strategic projects to optimize IT, security, and compliance bandwidth.Minimum Requirements5+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or engineering roles.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra, Loop, Copilot, and Power Platform.Experience managing helpdesk operations, escalations, and SLA tracking.Proven ability to own platforms and projects, coordinate stakeholders, and manage timelines.Experience with Purview and Priva for data governance policies.Proficiency in automation and scripting with Power Automate, PowerShell, or similar tools.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality results.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDeep understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint, Loop, Copilot, Entra, SIEM, Teams, Planner, and Power Platform.Experience with Purview and Priva for data retention, DLP, and insider risk management.Strong scripting and automation skills using Power Automate and PowerShell.Ability to work independently and deliver reliable results.Experience leading tactical IT projects and absorbing non-strategic initiatives.Ability to develop tool adoption roadmaps and operational maturity strategies.Experience contributing to cybersecurity strategies, incident response, alert correlation, endpoint observability, and RBAC.Knowledge of vulnerability management practices, including continuous scanning and remediation.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or HITRUST.Sequel Med Tech is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.We prioritize your well-being with benefits like a 401k plan with company match, capped insulin costs, GLP-1 coverage, multiple medical plans, vision and dental, short-term disability, and voluntary insurance options.
