The team’s mission is to help ensure that millions of consumers receive the information they need through personalized emails, text messages, and phone calls to enroll in health insurance. You will use a combination of statistics, programming, and domain knowledge to solve problems and answer business questions. You have strong technical skills and are a creative thinker who always seeks to innovate and deliver value to our clients. You aren’t afraid of messy data and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment. Our team members collaborate often but are given a chance to complete projects This Position You WillLead data initiatives by gathering project requirements, selecting appropriate methodologies, and implementing experiments or models effectively with minimal oversightCollaborate with leadership to design and evaluate experiments and make recommendations based on the findingsConduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights that drive program improvements and inform decision-makingDevelop and deploy machine learning models, and data-driven tools that enhance predictive analytics capabilities and program outcomesExplore new & existing data sets, bringing the curiosity and detail orientation required to deeply understand how data flows through our systemDesign and implement processes to clean, transform, and validate data, ensuring every analysis is built on a foundation of accuracy and reliabilityContribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of analytics products and servicesCollaborate with engineers, analysts, data scientists, program managers, and external stakeholders to troubleshoot problems and proactively create solutionsStrive to support team excellence by documenting processes and staying up to date with new approachesWork both independently and as part of a team to deliver accurate products on short deadlinesComplete such other reasonable tasks as may be assigned by managementWhat We Are Seeking4+ years of applied experience working with structured/unstructured data.An undergraduate degree or higher in a quantitative field or equivalent technical training.Experience in and ability to apply your knowledge of foundations of statistics and modeling (distributions, parameter estimation, confidence intervals, and tests, etc.)Experience working through ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect dataAbility to hone in on the right questions to answer and perform analyses that help connect the dots for our Client and internal teamAdvanced understanding of a statistical programming language such as R or PythonExperience building predictive models using regression and machine learning techniquesAbility to manipulate data with SQLExperience with experimental design and causal inferenceFamiliarity with Git for version control and collaborative developmentAbility to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience, both in writing and verballyA high attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage and prioritize several tasks or projects concurrentlyEffective communication and collaboration skills when working with team members of varied backgrounds, roles, and functionsPassion in applying your skills to our social mission to problem-solve and collaborate within a cross-functional team environmentThe ability to successfully attain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background investigation that our government clients require; this includes a requirement that the individual has U.S. Citizenship, or U.S. residency for three of the past five years (minimum 36 of the past 60 months).You May Also Have ExperienceWorking with consumer and marketing dataExperience with causal inference for experimentation design and machine learning, particularly with classification and time series forecasting modelsWorking with business intelligence software like Tableau.Working with Snowflake and dbtWhat We OfferInroads offers a friendly work environment and competitive compensation and benefits package including:Salary: $85,000Premier health, dental, and vision insurance plans401K matchingUnlimited paid time offPaid personal and volunteer leave13 paid holidays15 weeks paid parental leaveProfessional development stipend & tuition reimbursementMacbook Pro laptop & tech accessoriesBring Your Own Device (BYOD) stipend for mobile deviceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Supportive & collaborative cultureFlexible working hoursPre-tax transportation options for commuting to our office in Washington, DCLunches and snacksThe salary range for candidates who meet the minimum posted qualifications reflects the Company’s good faith understanding and belief as to the wage range, and is accurate as of the date of this job posting.To protect the health and safety of our workforce, as a company policy, Inroads strongly encourages all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to beginning employment, and may ask employees to provide proof of COVID vaccination upon request, in each case unless the employee has an approved request for medical or religious accommodation or exemption, or except where prohibited by law.
