OverviewSoftware Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client.This role is REMOTE - Must be willing to come onsite to Utah once a year (one week).Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust ClearanceJob DescriptionOur Client is seeking a full-time C#/.NET Senior Software Developer to join its development team.Candidate will primarily design, develop, and maintain applications in C# using .NET 4.5 and higher, and Core Frameworks. Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision. Candidate must have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate directly with the customer.Primary ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with product managers, customers, and other team membersTransform customer requests into refined requirements using agile methodologiesDevelop scalable C#//.NET Core applications using MVC with Entity FrameworkModernize legacy Web Forms applications into .NET Core MVC and BlazorMaintain and modernize legacy Windows Desktop applicationsReview the work of other developers and provide constructive feedbackCreate test plans and respond to feedback from the test teamOperate in a scrum-based agile development process which will involve peer reviews, source code management, documentation, testing and other well-defined development proceduresRecommend changes affecting software to promote team growth and successContribute to project documentation including configuration and compliance to DoD security guidelinesFunction as a technical expert across multiple software project assignmentsBasic QualificationsB. S. Degree in computer science, information systems, or other IT discipline8+ years of experience working in a C# environment with MVC8+ years object-oriented analysis and design experienceExperience in a Scrum Agile working environmentExperience working with SQL, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery or other JavaScript client frameworks, AJAX, CSS, XML, JSON, etc.Familiarity with Git or other source code control applicationsCompetency using Microsoft Visual StudioMust be able to obtain a favorable DoD background check or obtain a secret security clearanceU. S.
