Manager, Software Engineering

OverviewVerint’s Manager, Engineering leads one or more product engineering teams within our WFM product family. This Manager serves as a driver to organize development, quality verification and delivery of large-scale, high availability solutions. The ideal candidate is fluent in the latest technology trends, well familiar with Jira workflow, skilled in Java and C++ technology stack and has a proven ability to succeed in a high-paced, agile environment.ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead operational plans for product infrastructure development, creating new infrastructure components and expanding existing onesManage the overall software development process including architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment and supportLead a team of highly technical engineers through influential and inspirational leadership, participating in hiring, developing and retaining critical talentDeliver high quality enterprise-grade solutions under aggressive timelines and within budgetCreate processes, infrastructure, and a culture that enables a geographically dispersed team to collaborate effectively and create sustained, effective technological engineering practices across multiple competing product initiativesWork closely and in partnership with Product Management, Solutions Delivery and Operations teamsManage customer escalations when neededMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 8 years of overall engineering experience including a minimum of 4 years of management and leadership experienceExpertise in software development using Agile/SCRUM, scaled agile or similar methodologiesStrong leadership, project management, time management and problem-solving skillsExpert level technical knowledge: OOP, systems architecture, C/C++/Java and related frameworks, relational databases, CI/CD (tools and processes)Hands on experience architecting and supporting highly scalable solutionsGood knowledge of software algorithms and design patternsUnderstanding of operation research methodology and mathematical optimizationUnderstanding of operation research methodology, statistics, methods of optimization and discrete simulationUnderstanding of forecasting and scheduling algorithmsAbility to quickly learn the product functionality and system behaviorsSuccessful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.Preferred RequirementsMaster’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience in workforce management#LI-KD1MIN: $140KMAX: $170KVerint Systems Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination, retaliation, and sexual and any other form of harassment.
