Create designs for feature areas that take into consideration the entire product life cycle. Lead analysis, design and development of software in a cross-functional technical team. Influence development and maturation of the product and technology vision and strategy. Lead design reviews and articulate key design principals for feature areas to immediate team and management. Lead and mentor other developers in coding complex technical solutions. Keep abreast of new technology patterns and trends. Lead the evolution of standards and technology (tools, conventions, and design patterns). Influence of discovery and decision-making process when changes to standards and technology are required. Independently develop and implement software for ecommerce applications and related technology. Lead code reviews to ensure functional performance specifications are met and engineering standards are followed. Create self-documenting designs and clearly communicate intent via comments in code, on specifications, in as-build documentation and during code review. Write unit and integration tests for each deliverable, effectively and comprehensively exercising the code. Prepare the introductions of subsequent bugs and correct existing bugs or design issues.Responsibilities/Skills/Experience RequirementsJob Requirements: This position requires a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. In addition, candidate must have the following skills: (1) Demonstrated Expertise (DE) analyzing, designing and developing high volume applications and solutions using Java/J2EE Components, Spring 5.x, and Hibernate frameworks, and SOAP/Rest Microservices, Kafka, MySQL, and JBoss for online retail applications; (2) DE analyzing and developing Batch applications with high-performance using Spring Batch framework and Web User Interface systems with technologies, including Spring MVC and JQuery; (3) DE analyzing and trouble-shooting and recovery of highly available and high volume ecommerce retail and loyalty applications using Unix, Graphite, Grafana and open source technologies; (4) DE writing high-level codes, design patterns, and JUnit test cases to build high-performance multi-threaded systems that comply PCI and PII standards; and, (5) DE designing and deploying large-scale systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud using CodePipeline, S3, EC2, ECS, and API Gateway with cost optimization.Salary and Benefits: $148,949/yr.
