With its corporate headquarters in Japan and its US subsidiary based in the Silicon Valley, AAI possesses a cross-cultural blend of Japanese and California styles.This Applications Engineer position delivers technical expertise for mixed-signal, analog, RF and mm wave RF IC device testing solutions to a strategic customer using Advantest 93K test equipment. It provides support for both pre-sales and post-sales assessment of customer needs as well as quick implementation/execution of the solution. You'll work on cutting edge technology working side by side with our customer in close collaboration with R&D and marketing in a cross-functional, international environment. This is an ideal position for a software or electrical engineer with a strong test engineering background, requiring both in depth knowledge of the V93000 system, as well as strong SW skills for writing test programs and tooling to meet customer needs.Responsibilities include:Translate customer requirements into technical solutions; work with Advantest R&D and marketing to identify possible gaps in the roadmap and scope out potential solutionsRequires experience in RF technology in fields like Bluetooth, LTE, 5G, 802.15.4, UWB, mmWave, WiGig, or RadarGood understanding of RF / mm wave device architectureAbility to understand load board schematics; having knowledge of RF Matching and De-embedding is a plusKnowledge in test sockets and probe cards / probe technologiesTest code development in programming languages like JAVA and scripting languages like PythonIntegrates Advantest products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer's environmentAccountable for the design, scoping, and technical validity of the solution to achieve the customer's business objectivesClose cooperation with other applications engineers in our European and Asian subsidiariesTravel:Up to 25% travel to various customer and Advantest sites #J-18808-Ljbffr
