Job Description: DevOps Engineer (Security Clearance Required)Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Location: Washington, D.C.Type: HybridMy client, an industry-leading software company supporting global security, defense, and commercial sectors, is seeking a range of cleared systems, cloud, platform, software, and DevOps engineers (Top Secret upwards) to work on several new programs. As long as you have a Top Secret clearance or higher (SCI / CI / FS), you can start work immediately.All applicants must be comfortable with being cleared up to an FS / Full Scope level. You can work from day one while the clearance process is completed.Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain production systems, including monitoring, configuration management, and system upgrades.Automate operational workflows using infrastructure-as-code and scripting tools.Deploy new applications and assist with infrastructure migrations and updates.Troubleshoot complex system and infrastructure issues across the stack.Contribute to CI/CD processes, release pipelines, and rollback mechanisms.Support containerized services, cloud provisioning, and version control.Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (typically 1 week per month).Technologies You'll Work With:Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC), hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.DevOps Tools: Puppet, Ansible, Terraform (or similar), Jenkins.Languages: Python, Bash, Java.Qualifications:Strong experience in DevOps and systems engineering roles.Hands-on expertise in automating deployments and infrastructure provisioning.Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash) and configuration management tools.Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and containerized environments.Solid understanding of monitoring, alerting, and production support practices.Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.Minimum Requirements:Active TS/SCI clearance.PTO: 20 days + public holidays + sick leave.401K with 5% prehensive healthcare, dental, and vision coverage + affordable family options.Opportunity to upgrade clearance up to FS polygraph (can work from day one while this is processed).Additional Details:Seniority level: Mid-Senior level.Employment type: Full-time.Job functions: Engineering and Information dustries: IT Services, Defense, Space Manufacturing, Software Development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
