This position will work with a team of developers, architects, and data scientists to build new and enhance current capabilities, bringing innovative ideas to challenging and complex problems. This is an onsite position in McLean, VA.ResponsibilitiesGeneral:The Software Developer will be responsible for full stack software design and development.This individual should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills, experienced in Agile frameworks and modern coding languages.Duties include meeting with clients to determine their software needs, coding, and testing software to ensure functionality, and updating software programs to refine components such as cybersecurity measures.Analyze and translate to both user stories and development tasks.Migrate code from the low to high-side environment for integration into the existing DevOps pipeline.Specific responsibilities may include:Produce clean, efficient code based on specificationsPerform peer code reviewsIntegrate software components and third-party programsVerify and deploy programs and systemsTroubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing softwareGather and evaluate user feedbackRecommend and execute improvementsCreate technical documentation for reference and reportingQualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:5+ years of full stack software development within the IC10+ years total software development experienceExperience with pipeline orchestration and DevSecOps practices within the ICExperience with UI/UX designExperience building web interfaces using Vue.js, React.js, and/or AngularProficiency using Python, developing and evaluating algorithms and methodsExperience with backend development, relational and nonrelational database design and developmentExperience developing in a lean Agile environmentExperience using Jira to manage product backlogDemonstrated experience with Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCPDemonstrated experience developing, deploying and maintaining APIs on AWS infrastructureExcellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, andActive TS/SCI with polygraph requiredDesired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:BS Degree or degree in computer science or systems engineering preferred.Agile, DevOps, Cloud, Security+ or other professional certification(s)Experience with Ruby on RailsExperience using Object Relational Mapper (ORM) such as the Entity Framework / LINQ to SQLExperience with Distributed Source Control tools such as GitExperience working in a consultant/client environmentLMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
