Through the comprehensive PowerFlex X platform, PowerFlex leverages patented smart software to control, monitor, and optimize a client's distributed energy resources to reduce cost and maximize return on investment.The Project Engineer II will be responsible for providing technical support during the detailed engineering & construction stage of projects and will be exposed to all aspects of projects. Traveling on average once a week should be expected.LocationThis role would be supporting our projects in California, we are open 100% remote in CA or a hybrid role out of one of our offices (Mountain View, CA,San Diego, CA orLos Angeles, CA.)ResponsibilitiesDesign and engineer commercial and small utility-scale solar PV projectsCommunicate with utilities on an ongoing basisStay up-to-date on code and policy changes that impact system designCoordinate cadence with customer during design phase and construction phaseCoordinate design package with Engineering firmsCoordinate with vendors and lead procurement of materialsPerform inspections during the installation processOversee commissioning processAssist in close out of projects with utilityPerform production analysis for PV systemsAssist Business Development team with pre-contract due diligenceQualificationsEducation/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred) or related major2-3 years of experienceExcellent communication and organizational skillsDetail-oriented and strong analytical skillsProficient in Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVSyst and ExcelUnderstands permitting & interconnection processBasic understanding of financial modeling and incentive programsExperience with Procore and Salesforce a plusComputer Skills preferred: Salesforce, Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project knowledge, CRM, and SmartsheetSkills/Knowledge/AbilitiesAbility to work independently, prioritize workload and deliver quality results on time while working on multiple projects simultaneously.Plan and organize tasks to consistently produce results, with minimal supervision.Acute attention to detail.Strong organizational mitment to excellence and high standards.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.Ability to successfully resolve conflicts both internally and externallyCompensationThe pay range for this position is $73,800 - $123,000 annually. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.Physical RequirementsRemaining in a seated position. Long hours on the computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
