WeRide has operated a self-driving fleet for more than 1,800 days.What you will do:Develop and deploy cutting-edge perception and deep learning models, including vision-language and large language models (VLMs and LLMs), for real-time integration into our systemCreate and optimize data pipelines for data mining, labeling, training, and evaluation, supporting comprehensive onboard developmentConduct advanced research in perception algorithms to address complex, real-world scenarios, focusing on areas like object detection, segmentation, road understanding, and motion predictionLeverage multi-modal sensor fusion techniques to build robust architectures tailored for autonomous drivingContribute to the ongoing development and refinement of current models on the WeRide platform in close collaboration within Perception team and cross-functional efforts with other teamsQualifications:Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025Strong programming experience in C++ or PythonExperienced in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, robotics, computer vision, data mining, LiDARKnowledgeable in data structures, 3D geometry, and advanced algorithms. Solid foundation in core robotics principles, including state estimation, 3D reconstruction, and visual odometryExcellent software and computing fundamentalsBonus Points:Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) or Vision Language Models (VLM)What Happens Next:We’ll take a few weeks to review all applications. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $120,000 - $165,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped.
