Base pay range$62.00/hr - $70.00/hrResponsibilitiesCreate and update all documentation as it pertains to network architecture and new installationsPlan, design, and implement future installations of network equipment and capacity planningEngage in high-level analysis and troubleshooting of network infrastructureWork independently with approved vendors and other state agencies to resolve network related issuesPerform capacity planning analysis throughout the design and on the existing network to ensure there is sufficient network throughputPerform all work in a cooperative and professional manner with other team membersProvide technical expertise, direction, and leadership to other team membersPerform research and analysis on all requests for problem resolutionAdhere to security standards and directives and ensure the network environments are compliant with these directivesParticipate in audit compliance efforts and ensure remediation is completed in a timely mannerRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience requiredCisco Certifications (CCNA and CCNP or CCIE) are desired, but not required8 years of network engineering related experience with in-depth exposure in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex networks within a large enterprise environment5 years of proven experience in a senior capacity with the ability to lead, coordinate, and oversee complex networking projects and bring them to completionSolid understanding and hands-on experience with routing protocols (e.g., EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, and BGP) in a mixed environmentStrong knowledge and understanding of network infrastructure components such as compute, storage, load balancing (Citrix NetScaler), cabling, administration, network management and monitoring (SolarWinds, Splunk, Cisco Catalyst Center)Experience in Access Control Lists, Firewalls, Citrix NetScaler, VPN technologies, Wi-Fi technologies, Enterprise Wireless technologies, and other security technologiesStrong technical acumen with TCP/IP, VLANs, WANs, routing and switching (Cisco)Previous experience with one or more of the following firewalls: Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper or Palo AltoKnowledge of AWS network architectureKnowledge of VLAN technology, VTP and STP protocolsDemonstrate functional knowledge on how to connect public and private networks while not compromising network stabilityDemonstrate functional knowledge of cable standards, multi/single mode fiber, proprietary and standard serial communication protocolsDemonstrates fundamental knowledge of PCI/PII requirementsKnowledge of T1, T3, SONET, DWDM and OC technologiesExperience with Metro-Ethernet technologiesExperience in network monitoring and management toolsExperience in VOIP and QoSExtensive knowledge and experience in creating and updating Network Visio DiagramsBenefitsWe offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees.
