Join to apply for the Immigration Services Specialist role at ABCD.1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants.The Immigration Services Specialist is responsible for managing an active caseload of immigration clients, supporting them through various and complex immigration processes and procedures. This position also develops and maintains working relationships with various immigration organizations within the community.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct intake process, screening, and assisting clients with the immigration process.Provide support to clients participating in the program by identifying support services needed and making appropriate referrals.Provide case management services through individual visits and follow-up to enable clients to become more self-sufficient.Assist immigrants in applying for US citizenship, family petitions, adjustment of status, renewal of green cards, VAWA applications, TPS, U-Visas, passport applications, and fee waivers.Prepare client immigration packets for legal review and work with an immigration consultant lawyer to have paperwork approved prior to submission to USCIS.Identify red flags that might present barriers to naturalization.Coordinate civics programs and conduct orientation sessions for clients.Coordinate outreach and community linkage activities, including immigration municate with other community-based organizations to meet clients’ immigration needs.Represent the Director of Immigration Services at events and meetings as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills, Knowledge, and ExpertiseMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years of experience in human services required. An associate’s degree preferred.Experience working with immigrant populations and training in immigration laws.Ability to work sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds.Ability to meet deadlines, handle confidential paperwork, and complete immigration forms.Strong organizational and communication skills.Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.Additional InformationSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: OtherIndustry: Design Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
