The position requires someone who is hands-on and will perform the bulk of work related to technical delivery with the help of delivery engineers dedicated to the project.ResponsibilitiesWorks with Solutions Architects to validate solution architecture and acts as the liaison between customers and CalianWorks with various Practice Managers and Principal Architects within Calian that are subject matter experts to ensure that the complete solution is being delivered to the customer as per the statement of workAble to install and configure Azure and AWS designed solutionsAble to install and configure network, storage, compute and virtualization designed solutionsWork directly with technical engineers and other practice managers as well as non-technical end usersAbility to meet or exceed customer goals and objectives for the project within budgetAbility to explain detailed concepts and technologies to customers in pre-sales engagementsWork closely with the Account Executives, manufacturer partners and the customer to ensure a smooth transition from design to implementation and supportEngage outside vendors to troubleshoot issues and tackle problemsPerform other duties as required and/or assignedEmployee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field7+ years of in-depth experience implementing technology solutions that utilize the skills described aboveExperience working directly with technical engineers and practice managers as well as nontechnical end usersExperience directing multiple technical staff simultaneously while ensuring that production goals are metWell-versed with considerable experience designing and managing cloud computing environments for several years (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)Strong knowledge of Data Center Design, Disaster Recovery Architectures, Enterprise Storage Systems, Replication Technologies, Storage and Backup, Virtualization, Networking (Classical Ethernet and Software Defined)Proven track record of running and entire IT infrastructure delivery operations for a mid-size or enterprise corporation employing 500+ employeesAble to interact confidently with C-level executives at customer sitesExperience in whiteboarding concepts and technologies in pre-sales and post-sales scenariosWorking knowledge of storage area networks utilizing fiber and iSCSIStrong knowledge of VMware vSphere and Microsoft HYPER-V virtualization technologiesPerform other duties as required and/or assignedMust be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.EEO StatementCalian is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.# #SF#How we hireOur hiring process is designed to help us get to know you and discover if you are the best fit for our team.
