WebKit is the open source browser engine that renders web pages in Safari, Mail, and many other iOS and macOS applications. As a WebKit Build Sheriff, you will be working directly with the WebKit and Safari teams, and will actively communicate with other teams at Apple as needed to keep continuous integration infrastructure in phenomenal shape!Key QualificationsProficiency in Unix-based systems, ideally macOS.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.Knowledge of Python, Javascript or other scripting language.DescriptionWatching build and test results from continuous integration systems to detect new issues. Initial triage of the issues, and correcting urgent issues by rolling back the changes. Crafting detailed bug reports to provide engineers with information needed to resolve the issues. Verifying fixes. Helping manage test infrastructure.Education & ExperienceBS or equivalentAdditional RequirementsHaving any of the following are definite pluses for this role:Familiarity with Web technologies, such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript.Knowledge of software development tools like svn, git, bash, make, and Xcode.Experience working with and contributing to large scale open source software projects.Experience using continuous integration systems.Equal Opportunity EmployerApple is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,500 and $223,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
