DoD Financial Management Subject Matter Expert

OverviewTecolote is hiring a Financial Management Subject Matter Expert with a minimum Top-Secret Clearance to support the Space Systems Command, Assured Access to Space organization. The candidate will directly support the Assured Access to Space Chief Financial Officer by providing strategic vision, analysis, and recommendations to address the rapidly changing Space Force and National Security Space Launch program requirements.ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of documentation for the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBES) and Budget reviews.Assist the Program Office and the PEMs in assessing budget impacts, developing alternatives, and implementing results for Congressional, OSD, and Space Force program decisions pertaining to SSC AATS.Analyze executive-level budget and execution decision-making and management processes and relationships across the portfolio.Identify roadblocks, mitigation strategies, and changes needed to evolve the organizational structure to support the evolving Space Force vision.Identify technology tools and digital environment needs that will aide in effective transformation to implement the AATS strategic vision.QualificationsMinimum of 20 years of Program/Acquisition Management experience in the DoD/Space Force environment.Program Element Monitor (PEM) experience at the PentagonLaunch and Range acquisition and execution experience is highly desired.Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Zoom.gov, PowerBI, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Excellent communication, quantitative, and analytical skills.Ability to work in a team environment.Strong knowledge of the DoD financial, acquisition, operational, and project management processes and policies.Master’s degree in math, Business/Economics, finance, accounting, engineering, or statistics, PMT401/402 or equivalent highly desired.EducationBachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.Base pay range$145,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yrAbout Tecolote ResearchTecolote Research is a private, employee-owned corporation where people are our primary resource.
