OverviewJoin to apply for the Azure Cloud Architect role at BDO USA.The Director, CI will be responsible for development, promotion, implementation, migration, and team building for Azure and hybrid cloud solutions. Expertise in core Azure platforms, add-on features, and hybrid cloud integration will be used to propose and lead projects through all phases of client delivery. Through consultative communication, the director will be a knowledge leader in the implementation and/or support of hybrid environments and set the technical direction for the Azure and on-premises Microsoft application platforms.ResponsibilitiesIdentifies and leads new Azure business opportunities to expand the practice and communicates such opportunities to superiorsLeads marketing and business development activities and actively promotes Cloud in the middle market, within BDO Digital, BDO USA, and globally with partner firmsWorks closely with key internal Go-To-Market and other sales functions on partnerships, opportunity management, and cross sellWorks with BDO sales team to develop statements of works, proposals, and RFP responses to Azure servicesPrepares formal and informal presentations for internal/external meetings, public events, webinars, panels, and other speaking opportunitiesDevelops, designs, promotes, and implements Azure and hybrid cloud solutions that promote innovative results solving business problemsArchitects solutions within the Microsoft Azure Suite (Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS and related hybrid cloud technologies)Leads integration and migration activities in Identity (Entra ID, Entra Domain Services, on-premises Active Directory, and 3rd party IAM solutions)Leads assessments and designs using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well Architected Review frameworkLeads migrations of resources to Azure from on-premises, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or other Azure tenants; experience with migration tools such as Azure MigrateArchitects and designs the full range of Azure Infrastructure products including but not limited to Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Arc, Azure Stack, Azure Container Instances, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure MonitorArchitects and designs automation of Azure infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM Templates, Bicep, and Terraform, managed with Azure DevOpsDevelops and designs solutions with Defender suite and its interaction with AzureDevelops and designs solutions with Microsoft 365 (M365) services that complement Azure or rely on M365 licensingGuides the design of complex Azure networking (DNS, VNETs, UDRs, NSGs, SD-WAN, ExpressRoute, VPN, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Web Application Firewall, Private Endpoint, Private Link, etc.)Interprets clients’ Azure business and technical needs into executable engagements (design documents, implementation plans, final reports)Develops and presents client roadmaps, health checks, and assessmentsDevelops project plans, resource plans, establishes reporting and metrics, and provides regular updates to clientsCoordinates all aspects of a project and manages risk, escalation as neededLeads and manages project teams to ensure on-time and on-budget deliveryEnsures the quality of client deliverablesActs as a primary contact for client questions and inquiriesFosters growth and skilling of an internal Cloud community, preparing knowledge sharing presentations and developing best practice frameworksQualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesHigh School or GED equivalent, requiredBachelor’s degree, preferredExperienceFifteen (15) or more years of IT Infrastructure, Information Security, IT or similar professional experience, requiredSix (6) or more years of technical infrastructure implementation experience with increasing responsibility within Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, requiredFive (5) or more years of strong sales experience supporting and managing pipelines, requiredThree (3) or more years of experience in cloud and on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, Active Directory, and networking, requiredThree (3) or more years professional consulting experience, preferredSoftwareAzure Resource Manager and associated componentsDirectory and Identity Services (Entra/Azure AD/AD Connect, AD domain migration)Experience with migration tools such as Azure Migrate, requiredOther Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExecutive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagementsAbility to work with global corporate clients and up-sell after the first engagementExcellent verbal, written and presentation communication skillsStrong analytical and research skills related to industry trends, market competition, and technologyAptitude for working in a consulting environmentAbility to troubleshoot issues, identify solutions, and appropriately escalate issuesStrong project planning, scoping, and management skillsStrong business process analysis and design and process flow skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer relationship skillsAbility to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple projects/tasks with attention to detailAbility to multi-task independently or in a groupAbility to work under pressure while handling unexpected problems professionallyAbility to work well in a cross-functional teamExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skillsAbility to grow technology and infrastructure expertise with training provided by BDO, and to train/guide team membersEncourage a team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnelEqual Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
