OverviewJoin to apply for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role at Improvix Technologies.Location and clearanceLocation: Onsite – U.S. Department of State (Washington, DC)Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret eligibility required)Work Schedule: Fully onsite, 5 days per weekAbout the roleWe are seeking a skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer to support the U.S. Department of State in modernizing and maintaining secure, scalable cloud environments. The OCI Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements. This is a fully onsite role requiring an active Secret clearance with Top Secret eligibility.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including compute, networking, storage, and database solutionsConfigure and maintain Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, gateways, and load balancers to support mission-critical applicationsImplement cloud security best practices in alignment with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP)Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform, Ansible, or similar toolsMonitor system performance, optimize cost, and ensure high availability within OCI environmentsTroubleshoot and resolve complex OCI-related issues, providing escalation support when neededCollaborate with security, development, and operations teams on cloud migrations and enterprise modernization initiativesMaintain detailed documentation of architectures, configurations, and operational processesRequired QualificationsActive Secret clearance with Top Secret eligibilityBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience)5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with at least 2 years working specifically in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Strong knowledge of OCI compute, storage, IAM, networking, and database servicesProficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)Experience with cloud security, compliance, and monitoring solutionsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to support mission-critical federal systemsPreferred SkillsOracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect certification(s)Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments integrating OCI and on-premises systemsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation frameworksHands-on experience supporting the Department of State or other federal civilian agenciesStrong knowledge of federal IT security standards and accreditation processesSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
