Join our innovative and dynamic company as we build, test and operate the small spacecraft of the future.Purpose: The Director of Components Program Management leads the components program management team and provides supervision of component programs.Title: Director of Components Program ManagementPosition Type: Full TimePay Range: $150,000 - $281,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)Location: Boulder, COBenefits:100% company paid health, dental and vision benefits for you and your dependents effective the first of the month following hire dateLife insurance401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contribution)Generous PTO (3 weeks of vacation + 3 floating holidays, 2 weeks of sick time, 7 paid holidays throughout the year and parental leave).Job Responsibilities:Build, train and lead a team of program managers, providing oversight, guidance, and functional managementWork with Business Development and business unit leadership to drive growth and meet new market needs, including executing at scale and new product developmentIdentify and manage key metrics for execution success in cost and schedule performanceCreate and define frameworks and tools for managing and reporting on key metricsEstablish and maintain budgets for product area costs and maintenance activitiesEstablish and maintain budgets for internal R&D activities, execute on R&D in collaboration with EngineeringWork closely alongside Business Development and Program Managers and Executive Director to support customers and drive growth, including proposals, marketing and relationship managementForecast revenue and growth potential across multiple product areasWork with business unit leadership on strategy, planning and business executionSupport other BCT product lines with innovative solutions that enable on-time deliveryOther responsibilities as assignedRequired Qualifications/Education:Bachelors degree inAerospace, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline,12+ years of experienceDemonstrated experience with customer engagement andability to grow new business opportunitiesDemonstrated ability to manage +$500K aerospace contractsAbility to develop procurement documents and experience with financial and ERP systemsProficient working on interdisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical and software engineersDemonstrated ability to manage budgets and perform detailed trade studies to support diverse business casesStrong written and verbal communications skills and willingness to share and transfer knowledgeExperience across the full program management lifecycle (capture through delivery) in the satellite / space domainExperience with the Agile Project Management and LEAN methodologyFamiliarity with P&L and basic accounting principlesRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of educationDesired: Completion of formal externally recognized project certification requirements (e.g., PMI, PMP)Working Conditions:This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date thenotice was posted.
