The RoleBoston Legacy FC is seeking a driven individual to join our Data & Analytics strategy team. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping strategic decisions by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work closely with departments across the organization—especially Ticketing and Sponsorship—to ensure insights are well-communicated, understood, and directly aligned with key business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain regression models and other statistical tools to support decision-making on projectionsAnalyze large, high-volume datasets from various sources (e.g., CRM data, team performance metrics, ticketing data, etc.) to identify narrative trends and actionable insightsBuild high-quality visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to leadershipWork with R or Python to clean, process, and model data for internal projectsCollaborate with other departments to ensure findings are actionable and clearly understoodContribute to ad hoc analyses and reports as needed throughout the yearSupport projects focused on helping improve revenues across ticketing and sponsorship, and find business efficienciesBuild financial models to inform pricing strategy and revenue forecastingDevelop and present recommendations to department heads leadershipWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field2-3 years of experience in a data analyst or consulting role (including internships, co-ops, or fellowships) is a plusPrevious sports industry experience is a plusDemonstrated experience with R or Python for statistical analysis and modeling (e.g., through coursework, research, or personal projects)Strong grasp of linear regression, logistic regression, and other fundamental statistical techniquesAbility to work with and clean large datasets, including structured and unstructured dataProficient in data visualization toolsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into understandable insightsFamiliarity with Excel is expected, but advanced data modeling skills beyond Excel are essentialKnowledge of working with a CRM or in an SQL database is a plusWhy Join Us?
