As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.You will partner with established product, architect, and security members of the team to train and create a motivated development function with newly hired and more junior team members to deliver strategic parts of our control's ecosystem.Job ResponsibilitiesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsFormal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience5+ years of continuous Python development experience on large/medium sized projectsCloud proficiency experience is required.Experience with Terraform scripting and deploymentDeep understanding of Python data structures, standard library, third-party packages, testing frameworks like pytest or unittest, ORM libraries like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.Experience in AWS Data Analytics platform and related services - S3, AWS Glue, RedShift, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda etc.Application Design and Design Patterns are important, including micro service and cloud design patternsExperience working in an Agile Development environment and is able to contribute/facilitate Agile ceremonies.Experience with Graph Databases, including OpenCypher and GSQL, or Relational Databases including DML, DDL, and PL/SQLProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CyclePreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsProficient in full stack development having experience creating REST based services on Java/Spring/Spring Boot.AWS Experience is preferredABOUT USJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
