This role maintains enterprise storage infrastructure to ensure proper configuration, availability, performance, capacity, and maintenance (including application of the latest patches and upgrades). This role monitors technology obsolescence, manages upgrades, and evaluates alternatives across on-premises and cloud IT infrastructures, both virtual and physical. This role monitors operations and collects and evaluates metrics to manage storage services and for inclusion into project KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLA). This individual performs risk assessment, risk mitigation analysis, vendor trade studies, and appropriate documentation to ensure storage services are available according to established Service Level Agreements (SLA). This role ensures continuity of operations including disaster recovery.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for designing/maintaining fiber channels and network attached SANsPerforms fiber storage switch administrationPerforms replication strategies (On-Site, Cloud)This role is responsible for architecture, design, installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of storage, including associated hardware and cloud resources.Duties include updating to new technologies, tuning performance, allocating storage space, and prioritizing the implementation of critical system patches.This infrastructure includes on-premises and cloud resources.Develop, maintain, and support a mixed storage environment comprising of NetApp FAS2552 or equivalent/ newer equipment and Dell EqualLogic PS6100s or equivalent/ newer equipment.Develop, maintain, and support physical and virtual (Hyper-V) Infrastructure environments.Basic Qualifications:Significant experience with Linux and Windows operating systemsAgile development mindset and capable of working in an environment of applied research with an operational analysis focus.Significant experience developing, sponsoring, or supporting the introduction of new and improved methods, products, procedures, or technologies.Significant experience maintaining a consistently high level of attention to detail.Significant experience comprehending complex technical topics and specialized information.Experience with Lights Out Management principles and concepts.Candidate must be a US CitizenCandidate must have an active TS/SCICandidate must have a MA/MS degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
