Join to apply for the Sr. Manager, IT Infrastructure role at The KnowIt Group Title: Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Salary Range: $150,000 to $170,000 base plus 10% bonus potential Hybrid Schedule: Work-from-home Monday & Friday Office Location: 2.5 Miles East of O'Hare Airport Overview Primary Purpose of This Job: Lead a team of technical professionals and outsource vendors to design, build, and support all internal IT infrastructure. Key areas include managing cloud data center operations, LAN/WAN, Voice/Data circuits, on-premise IT equipment, SAP BASIS, and security functions. Plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the company’s technology strategy, processes, and information technology roadmap. Partners with both business and technology groups to ensure solutions align with the company’s objectives and enable both groups to meet the company’s mission and vision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop overall infrastructure vision and systems architecture (e.g., private / public / hybrid cloud, vendors / partners) Align IT strategy and planning with the company’s business goals and objectives Ensure consistency and use of best practices in design and build of infrastructure Manage outsourced data center function including provisioning and decommissioning of servers, storage, and related tech Manage on-premise servers, phone systems, networking equipment and other technology infrastructure in company facilities Manage LAN/WAN & Telecommunications Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines for a consistent framework across the company Provide input on operating and capital budgets Purchasing of assets, tracking expenditures, and ensure licensing is in place Managing contracts for support and services related to areas of responsibility Design, rollout & testing of a DR solution Lead IT Security function and manage IT Security Analyst(s) and Vendors Maintain IT Controls related to SOX compliance and coordinate with internal and external audit teams Partner with the IT Service Delivery Manager on End Point Management solutions Identify opportunities to leverage technology to increase productivity and/or reduce costs Translate business requirements into technological solutions in partnership with business and technology SMEs Required Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of demonstrated experience in leading an infrastructure team 10+ years of experience designing, building, and operating infrastructure to support mission critical systems Experience with designing, building, and operating solutions using public cloud platforms Experience with Server and Application virtualization Experience with Cisco networking technology and Cisco Telephony Experience with Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office 365 Ability to establish, implement, and enforce IT standards to meet business requirements Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering Demonstrated project management and organization skills Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with executives, team members, and users as needed Ability to think big and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh Preferred But Not Required Qualifications Experience with SAP BASIS Experience with AWS Experience with SOX audits Medical, Vision, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Basic Life Insurance (provided at no cost by the Company) and Optional Life Insurance Voluntary coverage including Hospital Indemnity, Accident and Critical Illness 401(k) and Profit Sharing Paid Maternity and Paternity leave Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Get notified about new Information Technology Infrastructure Manager jobs in Chicago, IL. #J-18808-Ljbffr
