As a Tax Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for helping prepare and review financial information for clients, such as business and individual tax returns, with the benefit of gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in a variety of industries. The Tax Senior Accountant serves to maintain client relationships and act as a liaison between overseeing the work of internal staff and working closely with internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients.WHAT YOU WILL DORegular duties include (but are not limited to):Prepare and review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individualsPrepare and review federal, state and local tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual)Handle special projects including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax planning strategiesFacilitate advanced tax research, resolve complex tax issuesReview tax work from staff and provide feedback, training, and mentoringLead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within budget and timelineBuild, manage, and maintain lasting relationships with clientsDemonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and developing an area of expertiseParticipate in firm’s marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar effortsDevelop outside relationships with a goal of generating referral sourcesAdhere to firm’s policies and proceduresWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORExperience4+ years in relevant positionPublic accounting or other professional services environment preferredEducationMinimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technology experienceBachelor’s in Accounting (for Audit or Tax)License / CertificationMust progress professionally by obtaining relevant certification as soon as possible if certification is not already attained in order to advanceMust maintain required CPE credits annuallyLegal / ComplianceMust complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards documentGovernmental engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States governmentWHO WE AREREADY TO DELIVERWe take pride in our ability to combine local knowledge with national, regional, and international skills to provide you and your organization with the best resources possible.
