As a seasoned Investment Banking professional, you’ll have experience developing strong relationships with family investment firm clients, driving origination of Investment Banking transactions and working as a key partner to coordinate across the IB’s broader coverage, industry and product groups. You’ll work on deals and transactions across the spectrum of Investment Banking products, including Mergers & Acquisitions, divestitures of family investment firm portfolio companies, restructurings, loans, institutional debt and equity capital raises.Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinating broader Family Investment Firm coverage with Investment Banking, Commercial Banking and Private Banking partnersDriving the sourcing of new Investment Banking transactions, across Mergers & Acquisitions, debt and equity capital markets productsFocusing as an Investment Banking lead in joint coverage of Family Investment Firms with both senior bankers (Global Chairs and/or Vice Chairs) and junior bankersActing as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on dealsReviewing and coordinating the analytical work of junior bankers to move marketing / execution process forwardRefining marketing / execution materials for maximum client impactOverseeing the creation of financial projection models in a financing and/or strategic capacityLeading client negotiations, Q&A process and broader diligence with family investment firms and their portfolio companies as part of transactionsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities & SkillsPrior work experience in an Investment Banking front office role, including strong historical client interactionAbility to comfortably liaise and communicate with clients in a professional and mature mannerExtensive self-starter, who is highly proactive and focused on both client idea generation and sourcing of Investment Banking transactionsExceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validityVery strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modeling and valuation work)Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutionsAdaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a teamExperience in training junior bankersExcellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large, globally integrated investment banks in today’s environmentABOUT USJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
