As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Tax Manager to join our leadership team and play a critical role in driving client success and firm growth. Position Summary The Senior Tax Manager will lead the firm’s tax practice, overseeing compliance, planning, and advisory services across a wide range of industries and entity types. This role will manage client relationships, supervise and mentor staff, and partner with firm leadership on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical tax expertise, outstanding client advisory skills, and a passion for developing people and growing a practice. Key Responsibilities Oversee preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations while optimizing tax outcomes for clients. Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services tailored to clients’ business and personal objectives. Advise clients on entity structuring, M&A transactions, succession planning, and other strategic tax matters. Serve as the trusted advisor for a portfolio of high-value clients. Build and strengthen long-term client relationships through responsiveness, expertise, and proactive guidance. Mentor, train, and supervise tax staff and seniors, fostering a culture of excellence and growth. Provide technical guidance and support on complex tax issues. Identify opportunities to expand tax services with existing clients and contribute to new business development. Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives. Qualifications CPA license required; MST or JD/LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred. 8+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with at least 3 years in a management role. Expertise in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation; experience with multi-state taxation a plus. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Excellent client advisory and relationship management abilities. Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in helping grow a practice. Exceptional technical, analytical, and communication skills.
