Position OverviewThe Director of Treasury is responsible for the determination of cash requirements, short-term cash investments, and maintenance of appropriate cash flow. Establishes short-term borrowing needs and recommends short-term investment initiatives. Directs and manages operations of the treasury function and prepares and analyzes department reports, financial accounting records, cash flow analysis, credit agreement compliance, and projections.Essential Job FunctionsManages day-to-day operations and transactions of the Treasury DepartmentCoaches and develops treasury staffFocuses on company-wide liquidity needs and repositions available liquidity to yield a higher return for the organizationWorks closely with all existing and new banking and investment manager relationshipsWorks closely with CFO on reviewing and managing the enterprise investment portfolioManages all cash management functions including cash collections, wires and account fundingEnsures adequate liquidity for working capital needs and invest short-term excess cashForecasts cash sources and uses and investment returnsOversees cash management banking and financial institution relationships; negotiates bank and service feesImplements new bank technologies, products and services to improve the cash cycle and simplify company operationsPrepares and presents to the CFO weekly company-wide cash flow reportDevelops reporting package on company’s liquidity and key cash management operating metricsLeads and enhances internal processes to drive operational efficiency and to ensure compliance with internal policies, controls and proceduresDevelops and monitors treasury operational policiesPerforms other duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or BusinessRequires 8+ years relevant work experience5+ years of experience leading and managing teamsPreferred or SpecializedMaster's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferredChartered Financial Analyst (CFA)Certifications & LicensesCertified Treasury Professional (CTP) or similarKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrated skill in:leadership and collaborationmanaging one’s own time and working independentlyfinancial analysisDemonstrated ability to:be creative and willingness to promote changeanalyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlinescommunicate effectively in both oral and written formread, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsanalyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondenceeffectively present information and respond to top management, public groups and/or board of directorscompute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spreadsheetsshow extensive persuasive abilities, tact, and be able to communicate with personnel at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated knowledge of:Microsoft Office softwareStatutory Accounting Principles (SAP)Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Overall TreasurySalary Range : $155,000 – $190,000 per yearThis range is based on the expected level of experience and skills for this position.
