Join to apply for the Associate, Strategic Projects role at Nassau Community College.Job SummarySupports the lead project manager in planning and executing Nassau projects critical to the strategic and financial goals of the organization. Collaborates across departments to develop project plans, coordinate actions, and support execution to achieve benefits. Works closely with project teams including business leads, analysis, testing resources, technology teams, and external vendors. Must thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage activities supporting project execution aligned with strategic and financial objectives.Oversee project reporting, tracking, and health.Identify issues, escalate decisions, and implement solutions throughout the project lifecycle.Create resource models, manage team roles, and coordinate with resource managers.Motivate and support project teams to deliver results.Ensure adherence to deadlines, budgets, and project standards.Manage vendor relationships and ensure project compliance with policies.Maintain communication across departments to meet business goals.Manage project plans, expectations, and stakeholder communication.Perform other duties as assigned and maintain attendance.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAt least 2 years of experience managing cross-functional projects.Preferred experience in the insurance industry, especially life and annuities.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.PMP certification preferred.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.Ability to influence, motivate, and manage diverse teams and pensationSalary range: $55,000 - $105,000, based on experience, within Nassau’s salary band D.
