The outgoing finance leader (and founder) has faithfully carried the torch and is now ready to retire. They’re looking for a seasoned, confident financial leader to step in and bring both organizations into clean structural alignment, with sound fiscal strategy at the helm.ResponsibilitiesOversee finance operations for two affiliated nonprofit organizations, guiding fiscal strategy and compliance across both entitiesManage government-funded program accounting, including budget creation, projections, and invoicing with county partnersLead audit preparation and coordination in collaboration with an outside CPA firm and existing bookkeeping vendorServe as the key liaison with county officials, ensuring timely communication and accurate reimbursement processesDeliver clear financial reporting to the Executive Director, Board President, and stakeholdersWork cross-functionally with leadership and staff to support growth, manage reporting cycles, and implement process improvementsSkills & ExperienceProven experience in a nonprofit financial leadership role (CFO, Director of Finance, or Controller)Background managing government grants and reimbursable invoicing structuresComfortable liaising with public partners and navigating compliance in highly visible, mission-focused settingsStrong budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting skillsFamiliarity with audit preparation and external bookkeeping/vendor collaborationDiplomatic, firm communicator who leads with financial insight but respects organizational culture and missionPrior success in organizational restructuring or supporting nonprofits through transitional growth phasesReady to lead with numbers driven by a mission?
