This position is essential to ensuring safe and efficient field operations and works under the supervision of a Foreman as part of a collaborative crew.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform manual tasks related to the construction and maintenance of overhead power lines, including:Digging trenchesSetting polesInstalling wires and transformersRoutine line and equipment maintenanceAssisting linemen with tasksAssemble and stage materials on the ground; hoist tools and supplies using handlinesAssist with filling pole holes and trenches using hand tools such as shovelsFlag traffic and support job site setup and safety complianceMaintain organization of tools and materials on service vehiclesClean and organize job sites upon work completion to ensure safety and readiness for inspectionJob RequirementsValid CDL Class A license preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire if not already held)Must pass drug screening, alcohol test, background check, clearinghouse and MVR checkWillingness to travel long distances on short noticeAvailable to work in remote locations and for extended periodsAble to perform duties in all types of weather, including extreme heat, cold, and inclement conditionsWilling and able to work overtime, including nights and weekends, as requiredSkills and CompetenciesBasic understanding of utility operations and power distribution systemsExcellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and accuracyStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervisionStrong time management, organization, and multitasking skillsHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and accountabilityAbility to take direction, follow safety protocols, and make decisions in the fieldWillingness to be a team player and contribute to a positive work environmentWorking Conditions and Physical RequirementsWork is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, and windMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 poundsFrequent bending, climbing, stooping, standing, and lifting required for extended periodsUse of hand and power tools involving substantial hand, wrist, and finger movementRequired to have close visual acuity for reading instruments, measuring distances, and performing detailed tasksKey AttributesSelf Motivated - Takes initiative and responsibility for for safety quality.Team-Oriented - Works cooperatively with others in a crew setting.Customer-Focused - Acts with professionalism and respect.Safety-Minded - Adheres to safety protocols and uses PPE properly.Join Our TeamElectra Grid Solutions is committed to safety, excellence, and empowering energy infrastructure.
