Tax Manager

OverviewRole Overview The Tax Manager will work directly with the tax team on a daily basis. The Tax Manager will also work with other internal departments and external service providers.ResponsibilitiesWork with Big4 Accounting firms to prepare & review partnership and corporate returns for 20+ funds & 10+ management company entitiesWork with external accounting firms to oversee & prepare various state, local, and VAT filingsEffectively manage the tax information of our company's growing investor baseWork with the broader tax team to review and interpret federal, state, and international tax laws and regulationsProactively interact with key employees and external service providers to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and effectively manage the tax profiles of the funds and management companiesDesign and document internal controls, policies, and procedures for ensuring compliance with tax laws & regulations as well as internal tax policies. This will require working closely with various business units as well as gathering guidance from external sourcesAssist with tax planning and compliance work for our firm's principal partnersResearch tax issues related to the funds, management companies, and principal partnersAssist Portfolio Managers and Traders with real-time tax guidance on transactions and corporate actionsLocation: Chicago, IL #J-18808-Ljbffr
