As a Client Associate, you will be motivated to succeed and understand that this role offers career advancement by continuously enhancing the client experience.As a Commercial Real Estate Client Associate within the Commercial Term Lending team, you will have the opportunity to cultivate strong business relationships through proactive outreach to prospects and existing clients. You will play a key role in developing and executing marketing strategies, engaging with clients to understand their business needs, shepherding loan opportunities through the process and providing innovative solutions to help them expand their real estate portfolio. You will also analyze commercial real estate cash flow and valuation, model various financial scenarios to select the best mortgage product for the client, and guide the loan package through the process from pre-approval to funding. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of professional experience within a commercial real estate firm or other financial services area, a solid understanding of financial concepts, excellent time management, verbal communication, and presentation skills, and a strong desire to be an active member of a sales team.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop strong business relationships through proactive calling of prospects and existing clientsAct as an integral part of creating marketing strategy, and hold responsibility for implementing the marketing plan which includes direct mailings, thought leadership digital mailings, and proprietary client eventsInteract with clients by seeking to understand their individual business needs and offering creative ways for them to successfully maintain and grow their real estate portfolioAnalyze commercial real estate cash flow and valuationModel various financial assumptions to select the best mortgage product for the clientSet expectations with the client and review process and timeline from pre-approval through the funding of the loanDrive the loan package through the process by assessing status and leveraging internal business partnersRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsMinimum of 2 years of professional experience within a commercial real estate firm or other area of financial services (Investment Management, Commercial Banking, Business Banking or Insurance)Strong desire to be a contributing member on a sales teamStrong understanding of financial concepts required, including being highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) with strong analytical skillsExcellent time management, verbal communication and presentation skillsEnthusiastic, self-motivated, ambitious, team playerProfessional, thorough, organized and detail oriented; able to follow standard operating policies and proceduresAble to identify new sources of business by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcementsPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsA four-year college degree with a major in a related field (Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance and/or Marketing - preferred) or commensurate experience in the financial services industryExperience cold calling preferredExperience with analysis of investment property types including retail, industrial, office and multifamilyFamiliarity with CoStar preferredFEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT: This position is subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
