Build With Purpose.We’re seeking a Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts on complex and high-profile electrical construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who excels at turning scope into strategy, numbers into confidence, and estimates into successful projects.You’ll play a critical role in shaping the front end of multimillion-dollar commercial projects by leading a talented estimating team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment across all bids and proposals. Your expertise will directly impact project profitability, timelines, and client satisfaction.What You'll Be Responsible ForLead the preparation of detailed and accurate electrical estimates for large-scale commercial and industrial projectsDevelop conceptual and preconstruction budgets, labor estimates, and bid strategiesOversee the preparation of project-specific checklists, submittals, and preliminary billing schedulesAnalyze drawings, specs, and scope documents to determine key cost drivers and risksReview and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for completeness, competitiveness, and complianceLeverage estimation software and data to forecast labor and material costsConduct risk assessments and value engineering to ensure competitive, profitable bidsPresent estimates and cost strategies to executive leadership and clientsMaintain and grow relationships with vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and field teamsCollaborate with project managers to support handoffs, schedules, manpower planning, and change ordersMentor junior estimators and continuously improve department processes and accuracyWhat Makes You a Strong Fit7–10 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably on large commercial or mission-critical projectsProven leadership experience managing estimating teams and overseeing multiple bids simultaneouslyDeep understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and industry best practicesProficiency in estimating software (Accubid, Bluebeam, Trimble, or equivalent) and ExcelStrong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on detail and accuracyBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)CPE (Certified Professional Estimator) certification is a plusWhy Join Us?This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to lead the estimating function for one of Atlanta’s most respected electrical contractors, known for tackling complex projects across data centers, healthcare, higher education, and commercial sectors.
