Chief Financial Officer – Central RegionLocation: Central Region, Deaconess Health SystemEmployment Type: Full-Time | Executive LeadershipMission StatementTo advance the health and wellbeing of our community with a compassionate and caring spirit.Position OverviewDeaconess Health System is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our Central Region. This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial performance of our hospitals and facilities in the region. The CFO will play a vital role in ensuring fiscal sustainability, advancing strategic initiatives, and supporting the organization’s mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership:Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with system-wide goals. Deliver insights and recommendations to support high-impact operational and strategic decisions.Operational Oversight:Manage the financial operations of all Central Region entities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.Revenue Cycle Management:Collaborate with system-wide revenue cycle and reimbursement leaders to drive excellence in billing, collections, and reimbursement performance.Capital Planning & Investment:Support capital planning and financial modeling for new service lines and strategic initiatives in coordination with system pliance & Risk Management:Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and financial policies. Lead audits and proactively manage financial risk.Team Leadership:Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to align financial strategy with patient care and organizational priorities.Financial Communication & Reporting:Deliver timely, accurate, and clear financial reports and presentations to regional leadership, executive teams, and the Board of Directors.Supervisory Responsibilities:Oversee and support subordinate finance managers.
