Join to apply for the Director of Finance and IT role at Confidential1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.OverviewJoin to apply for the Director of Finance and IT role at Confidential.ResponsibilitiesSets the long-term financial and IT strategy to align with overall business goals, including investment planning and technology road mapping.Serves as a member of the senior leadership team, advising the CEO and CFO on financial health, systems integration, and digital transformation opportunities.Collaborates with all departments to ensure financial and technology strategies support operational efficiency, scalability, and growth.Makes strategic decisions on capital expenditures, ERP system upgrades, budgeting processes, and risk management frameworks.Builds and leads the finance and IT teams by hiring key roles, developing talent, and structuring teams for long-term success.Identifies and implements forward-looking solutions such as automation, AI integration, and cloud-based financial and IT systems to improve productivity and data visibility.Oversees all aspects of financial planning and analysis, reporting, forecasting, and compliance, ensuring accurate and strategic use of financial data.Leads the implementation and optimization of core business systems, ensuring cybersecurity, data integrity, and system performance company-wide.Lead and oversee all aspects of financial management including monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting.Direct the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and annual budgets.Deliver monthly management reporting and KPI dashboards in alignment with global standards.Monitor and analyze working capital, margins, and inventory metrics.Ensure federal and state tax compliance, including timely filings and audit readiness.Oversee monthly and year-end close procedures.Provide financial analysis to support business planning and capital investments.Maintain and enforce internal controls and financial policies.Team & Department OversightBuild and lead a high-performing Finance team by hiring an Accounting Manager, Accountant, and Financial Analyst while maintaining the existing Finance & IT Teams.Manage daily operations of the accounting and finance functions.Provide leadership, coaching, and development for direct reports in both finance and IT.Support cross-functional teams with financial insights to drive performance.Oversee IT infrastructure and support services across the organization.Align business needs with ERP/CRM system capabilities, serving as the key Finance user in ERP.Support ERP/CRM IT Team in optimizing platform use and functionality.Manage technology projects, software vendor relationships, and system implementations.Ensure IT compliance, security, and data integrity.Serve as the primary financial liaison between Atlanta facility and global headquarters.Align reporting, compliance, and planning practices with global finance leadership.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.A relevant post-graduate qualification strongly preferred (e.g., CPA, CA, or CFA).Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role at the Director level or equivalent.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI is a strong plus.Demonstrated experience overseeing IT functions or acting as a key business partner in ERP/CRM systems and digital infrastructure.Proven ability to translate financial data into strategic insights and deliver clear, compelling presentations to senior executives and global stakeholders.Strong understanding of GAAP, financial compliance, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, PivotTables, Power Query, and use of advanced formulas (e.g., XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS).Well-developed understanding of business fundamentals, including operational workflows, financial processes, and strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage competing priorities, and drive continuous improvement.Proven experience in coaching, developing teams, and leading through influence.Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with a consistent ability to meet deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience working within a global or matrixed organization is a plus.Employment typeFull-timeJob functionFinanceIndustriesStaffing and RecruitingAtlanta, GAWe’re removing extraneous listings and focusing on the role above.
