Oversee the corporate risk management framework, insurance claims, and partnerships with internal clients, brokers, and providers to ensure alignment with company objectives.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement an overall risk management process for the company, including an analysis of the financial impact when risks occur.Select the most effective brokerages on behalf of the organization.Analyze and assess insurance policies to ensure company needs are sufficiently covered.Negotiate with insurance brokers and carriers for the best rates.Oversee claims and settlement values; analyze other sources of insurance that could cover claims.Maintain and cultivate an environment of risk awareness; develop policies and procedures to promote risk reduction.Formulate, develop, and coordinate loss control functions.Maintain records of insurance policies and claims.Prepare risk management and insurance budgets.Prepare and present comprehensive risk assessment reports.Create reports to help internal stakeholders understand how risks affect their operations.Manage the captive insurance administration of workers' compensation, general liability, and auto claims.Vet company contracts to identify potential risk issues as needed.And here is what you will need to be successful:MUST HAVE SKILLS for Director of Risk8 or more years of Risk Management experience with at least 5 years in leadership rolesExperience in both brokerage and corporate risk management environmentsSafety and insurance risk management experience is helpfulBachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferredStrong math and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft OfficeDatabase management experienceKeen attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skillsMust be able to work in the US without sponsorshipNICE TO HAVE SKILLS for Director of Risk ManagementRisk Manager certificationLocal candidates preferred but willing to consider relocation for the right candidateWould you like to know more about this role?
