Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (Asset Management)Our client is a global Alternative Asset Manager, who is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (addition to staff) reporting to CFO. The client is seeking an individual who will lead the path for expansion while maximizing efficiencies and setting the framework for the firm's financial vision.Ideal candidate will be asked to develop and maintain departmental budgets for several business lines. The candidate must be confident and comfortable working with large datasets for budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and treasury accounting. This role will work with various departments within the firm, including but not limited to Technology, HR, and Procurement.Responsibilities:Oversee and lead the company's financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, auditing, and financial operations.Collaborate cross-functionally with teams on various initiatives impacting the financial reporting of the company including all financial metrics and KPIs.Manage all aspects of the monthly close process including revenues, expenses, T&E, and work with 3rd parties.Must be familiar with the process of selecting and implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.Develop and drive necessary financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, and play a leading role in directing change initiatives and process improvements.Create executive presentations of financial results for review with senior executives.Support external audit engagements including managing and coordinating with auditors and external service providers, and preparation/review of audited financial statements and footnote disclosures.Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentation.Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a must, CPA preferred.8+ years accounting experience out of Public Accounting or Private Accounting team is a plus, including prior Financial Services experience (strongly preferred).Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Revenue Recognition is -depth experience working with general ledger and financial analysis, including journal entries and detailed account analyses.Experience or interest in accounting for Data or Technology Service companies.Seniority level: DirectorEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Accounting/Auditing, Finance, and Information TechnologyIndustries: Accounting, Leasing Non-residential Real Estate, and Venture Capital and Private Equity Principals #J-18808-Ljbffr
