Overview Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Finance Director. This client is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience, manufacturing industry experience, and strong analytical skills. The Finance Director will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Responsibilities Financial Management & Strategy Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across multiple entities. Monitor cash flow, financial risk, and P&L performance to support sustainable growth. Advise senior leadership on long-term financial strategy, risk management, and investment decisions. Support M&A activity, including due diligence, financial assessments, and post-acquisition integration. Accounting Operations Oversee all accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, revenue recognition, inventory, costing, and expense management. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Consolidate financials across entities and deliver clear reporting packages to executive leadership. Partner with internal and external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Treasury & Systems Oversight Manage treasury operations, including daily cash management, intercompany funding, credit facilities, and foreign currency exposure. Maintain and strengthen banking relationships across regions. Evaluate and optimize ERP and financial systems to support scalability, accuracy, and efficiency in reporting and operations. Leadership & Team Development Supervise and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals across multiple locations. Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls across all entities. Drive continuous improvement in processes and reporting to support evolving business needs. Additional Responsibilities Partner with HR on select initiatives, including payroll oversight, benefits administration support, and 401(k) plan management. Contribute to cross-functional projects that support growth, efficiency, and integration across the organization. The Finance Director will possess the following: Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field. 7+ years of related finance experience. Must have 4+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. CPA/CMA highly preferred. Highly analytical, organized, and detail oriented. Excellent leadership skills.
