We achieve this by receiving deposits, verifying them, and paying out orders to depository institutions in the cash life cycle, while meeting or exceeding all controls established by governing agencies.Position OverviewThe Group Vice President (GVP), Cash Services leads the 12th District Cash Services group, overseeing five cash operations (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Phoenix) and the District Cash Support team. As head of Cash Services, the GVP ensures cash operations meet goals for accepting deposits of excess and unfit currency, preparing currency and coin for distribution, and removing counterfeit and unfit currency from circulation. The GVP sets the District/'s Cash Services strategy and long-term objectives and directs the cash operations leadership team to achieve these objectives.Highlights of ResponsibilitiesSets the District Cash Services strategy and long-term objectives, aligning with System Cash and Bank strategy, and directs the Cash operations leadership teams to achieve them.Directs and oversees Cash operations to meet operational metrics around compliance, productivity, staffing, budget, inventory management, and training.Oversee District Cash Support to ensure effective support for Cash Operations through compliance, training, budget oversight, and analytics.Ensure cash operations are appropriately staffed and managed to assess and mitigate risk and respond to critical business continuity events.Support the growth and development of Cash Services staff through ongoing training and special programs.Oversee expense budgets and long-term capital planning in alignment with the group, Bank, and System needs.Lead and/or participate in System workgroups to influence System Cash strategy and share best practices.QualificationsTypically 15+ years of relevant experience; 12+ years of progressive people and business management experience and 5+ years of leading major projects/initiativesBachelor/'s degree required or equivalent work experience; Master/'s degree preferredSuperior people management, interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong critical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize a range of dataDemonstrated ability to multi-task and perform well under pressureExcellent writing, speaking, negotiation and presentation skillsProven project management skills with a focus on building high-performance relationships and processes to drive projects forwardProven ability to anticipate and solve complex business issues in a well-informed, accurate, and logical mannerExperience collaborating across offices and functions to build relationships and influence constituents internally and externallyAbility to initiate action, adapt to change, make difficult decisions, and handle challenging assignmentsAbility to assess and adapt new strategies to achieve key objectives in a dynamic environmentMust be able to work on site full time at either San Francisco or Los Angeles locationsPreferred SkillsExperience in a highly regulated and compliance-oriented environmentSenior level leadership and project management experienceCompensation and BenefitsBase Salary Range: Min: $255,000 - Mid: $330,500 - Max: $406,000 (Location: San Francisco or Los Angeles)Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant/'s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Pretax Flexible Spending Accounts, Paid Family Leave, Backup Child Care, Vacation and Sick Days, Paid Holidays, Pet Insurance, 401(k) Matching, and retirement/pension options.The Bank is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to participate in the job application or interview process, perform essential job functions and receive other benefits.
