By utilizing an integrated approach with A&M professionals with deep operating and financial-related experience, the team uses a focused and tailored approach to rapidly identify and understand potential deal breakers, value drivers, and other areas of specific interest to our clients. Our professionals have significant experience on both the buy and sell side of transactions across all industries including healthcare, financial institutions, energy, technology, and consumer products.How You Will ContributeAs a member of the A&M Corporate Transaction Tax team, you will:Demonstrate an advanced understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations;Develop and deliver high-quality tax planning approaches with timely and responsive services and work product that meets and/or exceeds client expectations;Oversee due diligence including review of tax returns, financials, and other tax documentation to evaluate potential tax risks and opportunities;Strategize and execute post-merger integration strategies:Develop and deliver complex tax models, tax benefit analysis, and stock basis calculations;Review and provide strategic insights on tax aspects of purchase agreements;Lead coordination with state and local and international tax team members, as well as financial and operational due diligence team members; andCultivate and maintain client relationships.Qualifications:CPA, JD (with bachelor's degree in accounting, preferred), Masters in Taxation, or LLMAt least 9 years of relevant experience in a mergers & acquisitions tax practice at a Big 4 firm, Big Law firm, or similar firmKnowledge of accounting and financial reportingStrong understanding of the consolidated return regulations, tax-free reorganization provisions and cross-border tax planning considerationsStrong writing, analytical, research, excel, and organizational skillsStrong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skillsStrong sense of personal motivation as well as the ability to work with a teamAbility to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.Your journey at A&MWe recognize that our people are the driving force behind our success, which is why we prioritize an employee experience that fosters each person’s unique professional and personal development. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability.The salary range is $175,000 - $225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.
