This role involves leveraging advanced econometric methods, statistical modeling, and machine learning to analyze pricing dynamics in our marketplace. The successful candidate will build scalable decision-making systems that support core features of our custom manufacturing platform.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop econometric and causal models to analyze price and lead-time elasticity.Lead the formulation of pricing strategies aligned with business goals.Employ advanced econometric techniques to model pricing behaviors across customer segments and forecast financial outcomes.Analyze competitive pricing trends to generate insights and strategic recommendations.Apply technical expertise to solve complex business problems, enhancing efficiency and growth.Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Business teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.Implement scalable methodologies emphasizing best practices in code reproducibility, version control, and deployment.Qualifications:Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or related field, focusing on pricing strategies or market analysis.5+ years of experience as an economist or in a similar role with a successful track record.Experience with pricing algorithms, auction mechanisms, and technology-driven product development.Experience with randomized test design, Multi-arm, and Contextual bandit frameworks.Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow).Knowledge of software principles including version control, reproducibility, and deployment.Strong grasp of statistical concepts and their application to real-world problems.Business Acumen: Ability to translate data insights into actionable munication: Excellent written and verbal skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.Problem-Solving: Creative and innovative approach to challenges.Additional Requirements: Ability to work core hours aligned with US Eastern Time (GMT-5).Industry Experience: Familiarity with manufacturing or logistics industries.Cloud Computing: Experience with platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.#LI-HybridXometry is an equal opportunity employer.
