OverviewLHH has partnered with a well-established real estate company that's looking to add a Senior Property Accountant to their team. This professional will handle full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate.ResponsibilitiesPrepare property reconciliations and budgets as well as mid-year CAM reconciliations.Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for properties.Abstract lease documents into the accounting ledger.Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for SEC filings.Coordinate refunds to tenants or process collections on outstanding escrow, reconciliation, and direct pass-through amounts.Audit and analyze tenant ledgers.Verify accuracy of all bills and ensure amounts are coded correctly.Prepare journal entries.Create and maintain schedules for amortization, tenant improvements, and escrows.Review budget information and provide variance explanations.Prepare operating expense invoices.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required2-5 years of accounting experience, preference for real estate industry exposureCommercial property accounting experience preferredProficiency with YardiStrong communication skills, able to collaborate with management at all levelsBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, voluntary benefits, wellness plans, and a 401(k) planPTO accrual up to 15 days (initially), 13 paid holidays, and up to 6 weeks of paid parental leave (1+ years of employment).
