OverviewDirector of Finance at DirectPath Recruiting Services is partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing manufacturing company to find an experienced and results-driven leader. This role will drive all aspects of financial operations—including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, customer collections, supplier payments, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance—while providing strategic insight to support the organization’s growth and success.As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Finance will work closely with executive management to shape company strategy, ensure operational excellence, and deliver value across all areas of the business.Relocation Support: We welcome candidates from outside the area and offer relocation assistance for the right individual. We’ll help make the move seamless for a fresh start or new challenge.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee preparation and delivery of monthly departmental budgets, financial reports, and performance analysis.Lead the development of financial reporting systems within the company’s MRP/ERP platform to drive actionable insights.Manage all month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Direct cash flow forecasting, customer collections, and supplier payments.Supervise balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset accounting activities.Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance standards.Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial PoliciesDevelop, implement, and enforce company-wide financial policies and processes.Lead the corporate budgeting cycle, including pro forma statements, capital expenditure plans, and departmental spending guidelines.Optimize company cash management policies and working capital strategies.Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks.Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.Oversee key relationships with auditors, banking partners, insurers, and regulatory agencies.Provide guidance on capital structure decisions including debt, equity, and asset management.Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders to reduce costs and eliminate inefficiencies.Design and implement cost analysis models, including manufacturing overhead and work center rate development.Grants & Profitability ReviewResearch and secure applicable grants and tax incentives, including R&D credits.Conduct regular commercial profitability reviews to maximize product and service margins.Lead and drive finance-related improvement projects that enhance operational performance.Provide KPI analysis and cost-saving recommendations to plant and leadership teams.Support new product launches, customer pricing, and purchasing activities to ensure financial alignment and profitability.Strategic Leadership & Business PartnershipServe as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and shareholders, providing financial insight to guide strategic decisions.Contribute to company-wide strategy development and execution.Foster strong relationships with external partners, including customers and vendors, to support long-term business success.Lead, mentor, and develop a finance and accounting team of 2–4 direct reports.Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability, professional growth, and excellence in execution.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Active CPA required; CMA or CFA credentials are a plus.10+ years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing environment.Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and fixed asset accounting.Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP financial systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Core Competencies: Strategic Financial Planning; Leadership & Team Development; Financial Risk & Compliance Management; Cost Control & Operational Efficiency; Cross-Functional Collaboration; Analytical Thinking & Decision-Making; Results Orientation.What’s In It For YouOpportunity for career growth and leadership developmentCollaborative, supportive, and innovative work environment.If you are a seasoned financial leader with a passion for driving results and making an impact, we invite you to apply and join this exceptional leadership opportunity through DirectPath Recruiting Services.Note: The following job listings and references are part of the posting site and not part of this role: Referrals, related job titles in Chattanooga, TN, and other postings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
