Accounting & Operations Manager (Hedge Fund) - 26146 Our team is working with a leading credit hedge fund based in Boston, looking to hire a Fund Accounting & Operations Manager to their growing team. Reporting to the CFO, the candidate will be responsible for full cycle fund accounting & operations, with support from their fund administrator. Responsibilities: Perform daily trade and cash reconciliations between internal systems and prime brokers, custodians, and banks. Ensure all trades are settled accurately and timely, coordinating with counterparties and service providers. Maintain and update the firm’s shadow accounting system daily, ensuring alignment with the fund administrator; collaborate with the Accounting Manager to review and confirm entries. Review monthly accounting reports and investor statements prepared by the fund administrator for accuracy and consistency. Support portfolio managers, investor relations, and compliance teams operationally and in accounting matters. Assist in implementing new technologies or software to enhance efficiency in workflows. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 8+ years of experience in public accounting or hedge fund operations/accounting. Understanding of financial instruments, especially credit instruments, and fund structures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting or financial software is a plus. CPA preferred. This is a full-time hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 remote) offering up to $200K base salary, 25% bonus, and full benefits.
