The ideal candidate must have a thorough knowledge of property accounting.Responsibilities:Prepare monthly property-level Budget Variance reportsWork closely with Ops team to explain major variances: positive and negativeManage monthly AP and AR close including completion of Bank recsAnalyze GPR/Rent Roll/Vacancy trendsReview and approve property-level invoices to ensure proper GL coding and expenses is within budgetCommunicate over budget items with the Ops team and ControllerAssist Controller in filing for quarterly PTETsAnalyze and ensure utility invoices are processed timely, eliminate late feesManage AR/Bad Debt/Collection processes and tracking with Controller/CFOWork with the Assistant Controller on year-end financials and balance sheet schedulesHelp identify various areas within NOI to improve revenues and reduce ongoing expensesWork closely with the Controller and CFO on various ad-hoc projects including improving the property accounting department within the Accounting/FinanceSkills:Must be able to set priorities, organize, and accomplish tasks often within strict time limitations.Strong accounting knowledgeWork well independently and in an energetic, fast-paced environmentMust be able to multi-task as the department will have multiple projects running at one time.Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this person will be communicating with all levels of management.This person will be working with confidential issues and must have the maturity to use discretion and diplomacy.Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred5+ years of experience in Property AccountingSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing, Strategy/Planning, and FinanceReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at MSB Resources by 2xInferred from the description for this jobMedical insuranceVision insurance401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr
